IMPORTANT: For information on mirroring the screen of an Apple® device such as iPhone®, iPad®, and iPod®, on your TV or Mac® computer, refer to the Mirror your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to a TV or Mac  article.

The Wi-Fi Direct® and Screen Mirroring features allow wireless peer-to-peer connections from a source device to the TV. Video, photo, and music content can be streamed from the device directly to the TV without the use of a wireless network.

If you can't perform the Wi-Fi Direct or Screen Mirroring function, check the following:

Before you start For Wi-Fi Direct and Screen mirroring: Make sure your TV software is updated to the latest version. Refer to the How to perform a software update article for details.Wireless devices such as routers, cordless phones, radios, and Bluetooth® devices emit strong radio waves that may disrupt Wi-Fi Direct or Screen Mirroring performance. We recommend these wireless devices be placed far from the TV and mobile device or computer.The video quality may be degraded due to environmental interference. For Screen mirroring only: Select BRAVIA™ TVs and Xperia mobile devices comply with the Screen Mirroring function using Miracast® technology. Using a mobile device from other manufacturers is not guaranteed to work.If you can't perform a new Screen Mirroring connection when another Screen mirroring device is connected to the TV, disconnect the first device and make a connection with the new device. Troubleshooting

Note: To verify your TV type, refer to the How to check if your BRAVIA TV is a Google TV™, Android TV™, or other TV article.

Make sure that your TV and mobile device or computer are compatible with the function you are trying, and that the setup is correctly done. For details, refer to the following: Wi-Fi Direct: How to use the Wi-Fi Direct feature on the Bravia TVScreen Mirroring: How to use the Screen mirroring function on my BRAVIA TV Reboot the mobile device or computer.Restart the TV. For Google TV™ and Android TV™ models Using the supplied remote control, press and hold the Power button to restart the TV. For details, refer to the How to restart (reset) a Google TV or Android TV? article. For other TVs Turn off the TV and remove the power cord (mains lead) from the wall outlet.Wait approximately 2 minutes, plug the power cord (mains lead) back into the outlet, and then turn on the TV. For Android TV, set the Bluetooth settings of the TV to Off. How to set the Bluetooth settings On the remote control, press the HOME button.Select Settings.Select Remote & Accessories or Network & Accessories.Select Bluetooth settings.Select Bluetooth or Bluetooth On, and set it to Off. Note: Depending on the TV model, the supplied remote control uses a Bluetooth connection and some functions may be disabled by turning off the function. Be sure to turn on the function again after the connection. Confirm the permission status on Show Device List/Delete, delete the registered device from the list, and then register it again. For Google TV and Android TV models Open the Settings screen. How to access Settings If the remote control has a Quick Settings button: On the remote control, press the (Quick Settings) button.Select Settings. If the remote control does not have a Quick Settings button: On the remote control, press the HOME button.Select Settings. The next steps will depend on your TV menu options: Select Network & Internet or NetworkWi-Fi DirectShow Device List/DeleteDelete all.Select NetworkWi-Fi DirectAdvanced settingsShow Device List/DeleteDelete all. For other TV models Note: The steps below are an example. For details on the operation method, refer to the TV manual. &Manuals On the remote control, press the HOME button.Select Settings.Select System Settings.Select Set-up.Select Network.Select Wi-Fi Direct Settings then press the OPTIONS button on the remote.Enter Show Device List/Delete then press OPTIONS and select All Delete. Try changing the Channel setting. Note: Android™ 8.0 or later, including Google TV models, does not have the following settings. For Android TV models If the TV is connected to the network by wired LAN, please change the connecting channel by following: On the remote control, press the Home button.Select Network in the NETWORK & ACCESSORIES category.Select Wi-Fi Direct.Select Advanced settings.Select Band setting.Select Manual.Select a Channel. For other TV models Make sure the TV and wireless router (access point) are not connected using the channel 12 or 13 frequency. BRAVIA will not appear on compatible devices if the wireless channel is set to those frequencies. Note: Contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) for assistance with verifying this setting.Set the wireless channel frequency of your wireless router between channels 1 and 11. Note: Refer to your wireless router manual for detailed information regarding how to change the wireless channel frequency.
